That’s Life

 We have heard and used the phrase “that’s life”. Usually to describe an unforeseen event that has caused us inconvenience, complication, or some other type of disruption in our life. And as we all know “life” does happen to all of us and not all of it is good or pleasant to the taste. In our weekly Bible study we have discovered that God’s holy fire trumps the Devil’s fire every time. Taking that a little deeper, God’s life trumps the Devil’s life. The Devil’s life is expressed in who he is. He is a thief. He is a murderer. He is a wolf in sheep’s clothing masquerading as an angel of light. He is a manipulator, deceiver and father of lies. And thus all he does and all that he influences will have those objectives in mind. God on the other hand is a giver, a giver of life and it more abundantly. God is what life in its purest and best form is all about. God is Savior, Healer, and Deliverer all rolled into one. God is God and He sits on the throne of majesty, and yet He is our best friend at the same time, one who sticks closer than a brother. God too expresses Himself based on who He is. Let us rejoice today that God is a good God who loves us more than we will ever know. Life is good because God is life.
